Rainy Castanoa Lodge Wedding in Pescadero
Living in the Bay Area, I am spoiled by our pretty predictable weather — it's either 70° and sunny or 70° and foggy. This Castanoa Lodge wedding in Pescadero, CA was an exception — it was a rare rainy day here in the Bay Area, but the couple took it in stride. The bride happily embraced the mud on her dress, exclaiming that it was now an ombre dress #weddingclientgoals. The wedding fates definitely rewarded them for their radiant positivity because the pouring rain broke at the most perfect times — during their family formals, portraits, and ceremony...I mean, that's pretty damn good karma. Either way, the fog and rain added to the romantic setting of their coastal venue, the Castanoa Lodge.
The wedding day was full of beautiful blessings from their strong community. When I spent time with the groom while he was getting ready at the Castanoa Lodge, his friends and family filled the room with good vibes and music, including one of his friends who looked like a dreamy mermaid and played guitar in the bathtub. The salmon served during their dinner was caught by the mermaid's husband. We all sloshed in the mud during the horah. It was a beautiful rainy wedding day on the coast. Thanks for inviting me to help document their day, Nico Nelson!
